Careful consideration should be taken when deciding on which services you choose and the method you choose.
USING INSURANCE BENEFITS
Many people who seek individual or relationship therapy choose to use insurance and many will have a copay. I accept cash, checks, Debit cards and Visa/Mastercard.
I also work with many insurance plans including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, FEI, Great West, Humana, Magellan, MHN California, and Value Options.
Insurance companies may require a pre-authorization and may limit the number of sessions you can use under your plan.
Most insurance companies do not cover Coaching. Inquire about my coaching services.
SELF PAY
There are advantages if you choose to Not use your insurance. You maintain control and freedom of choice regarding your health care. You choose frequency, number of sessions and you can receive a more personal, tailored approach for services. I would not be required to give you a mental health diagnosis that would require I prove "medical necessity." Your personal information will not be disclosed to your insurance company and placed into the Medical Information Bureau's data base. Importantly, to you, I can reserve a prime time schedule for your appointments; and give you a significant reduction in my fees for non-prime time appointments. Inquire about this when you call to schedule your appointment.
